TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra: A Smartphone Built for Eye Comfort and Everyday Power

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, TCL has introduced the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, its most ambitious smartphone to date and the first to feature the company’s NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology. Co-developed with TCL CSOT, the device aims to address one of the most pressing concerns in the digital age—prolonged screen time and its impact on eye health.

Eye-Care First

The NXTPAPER 60 Ultra arrives with a 7.2-inch natural light display, backed by multiple TÜV and SGS certifications. It leverages seven core eye-care technologies—including blue-light reduction, flicker-free operation, anti-glare layering, dim-light protection, circadian rhythm adjustment, and TruePaper restoration—to create a screen experience designed to feel closer to reading on real paper. TCL’s use of Circular Polarized Light (CPL) technology helps mimic natural light, delivering vivid yet comfortable visuals with professional-grade color accuracy.

The Max Ink Mode, accessible through a dedicated NXTPAPER key, transforms the device into a distraction-free reading hub. Notifications are silenced, and the display shifts to a paper-like interface, offering users a more focused experience for ebooks and documents.

Productivity Meets AI

TCL is also integrating AI-driven reading and writing tools into the phone. With the T-Pen Magic stylus—a pressure-sensitive, low-latency pen certified by SGS—the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra supports note-taking and sketching in the TCL Note app. AI features extend to smart transcription, voice memo summarization, translation, and rewriting tools. On the reading side, AI Outline, AI Q&A, and AI Audiobook functions add new dimensions to comprehension and productivity.

Imaging and Design

On the back, the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra carries a 50-megapixel main camera paired with a periscopic telephoto lens that enables 3x optical and 6x lossless zoom. Dual optical image stabilization ensures steady shots, while TCL’s new MuseFilm imaging technology pushes photography toward more artistic, cinematic results.

The device itself is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and works with modular magnetic accessories such as the MagFlip case.

Flagship-Level Specs

Under the hood, the phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with up to 24GB RAM (with expansion) and 512GB of storage. A 5,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging supports all-day use.

Pricing and Availability

The TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra will ship in September 2025 across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific.

TCL is also extending its NXTPAPER line with the NXTPAPER 5G Junior, a €249 eye-care phone for younger users, arriving in Europe in October.

With the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, TCL is betting that consumers are ready for a flagship smartphone where eye comfort is as important as performance.
