Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition Returns in Glacier White

[IFA 2025] Lenovo is coming back to IFA with a new version of the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition.First introduced at CES 2025 in traditional black, it is now available in Glacier White. While the hardware remains the same as the CES debut, this new design underscores the sophistication and premium positioning of the X9 lineup.

The Copilot+ PC is offered in both 14- and 15-inch versions, with the 15-inch Glacier White model making its official appearance in Berlin. Under the hood, it’s powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors with vPro on the Evo Edition platform, delivering more than 40 TOPS of AI performance. When combined with Windows 11 Pro, the laptop offers a seamless, secure, and future-ready experience for professionals.

Graphics are handled by Intel Arc Xe2, complemented by 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The 15.3-inch 2.8K OLED display—available in both touch and non-touch configurations—features 120Hz VRR, HDR600 True Black, Eyesafe certification, and up to 1100 nits of brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals whether for work or entertainment.

Multimedia performance is equally premium, thanks to Dolby Atmos audio with four speakers, Elevoc Voice enhancements, and dual microphones for crystal-clear calls. The Big Eye 8MP + IR camera, featuring an electronic privacy shutter, adds professional-grade video capabilities.

Connectivity highlights include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and 3.5mm audio. An 80Whr customer-replaceable battery is supported by a 65W USB-C GaN Nano adapter, keeping the device portable and efficient.

Beyond hardware, Lenovo is evolving the Aura Edition’s software ecosystem. Later this year, the Smart Share experience will transition to the Lenovo Smart Connect app, enabling unified cross-device control, tap-to-share functionality, and effortless transfer of photos and videos. This marks Lenovo’s effort to build a consistent, intuitive bridge between digital devices.

True to Lenovo’s sustainability commitments, the Glacier White model uses 50% recycled aluminum in its chassis, recycled plastics in the speaker enclosure, battery frame, and keycaps, and 100% plastic-free packaging made from bamboo and sugarcane fiber.

While the CES launch established the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition as Lenovo’s most forward-looking laptop, the IFA debut signals a design evolution. The new Glacier White finish delivers a fresh and refined aesthetic, expanding the X9 Aura Edition’s appeal without altering the powerful foundation introduced earlier this year.
